Probably not: First, it is extremely rare for an 18 yo to have glaucoma. They probably just sent a reminder note out for a routine eye exam and had the wrong purpose marked for the exam. In any complete eye exam, a screening is done for glaucoma including checking the eye pressure, the optic nerve appearance, and the anatomy and health of the eye. You could call the office to clarity the purpose of the exam.

Possibly: Most likely is that one of the several tests used to discover glaucoma was suspicious for the condition. This does not mean you have it as there are a number of things that have to be present to make this diagnosis. Hopefully you are seeing an ophthalmologist skilled in handling such conditions rather than an optometrist.
