A member asked:

What are the tests for pancreas trauma?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It depends.: Trauma develops complications. One of the most severe can be a pseudocyst, a collection of fluid in the organ tissue of the pancreas or in the lesser sac of the abdomen. This is rich in pancreatic enzymes, blood, and necrotic tissue. Tests for this include ultrasound, computerized tomography, and magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (mrcp). Computerized tomography is the "gold" standard.
