Combinde: Almost always a situation like this required combined upper and lower jaw surgery often with chin surgery. Complex problem. You need to be assessed by a team: very experienced oral & maxillofacial surgeon with orthodontist well versed in orthognathic surgery. Many are not.

Orthognathic Surgery: may correct gross jaw discrepancies (horizontal, vertical, or transverse). The surgery is performed by an oral and maxillofacial surgeon.
