LAB AND XRAY: Stone(s) in the common bile duct (choledocholithiasis) present with pain and/or jaundice, and can cause pancreatitis, a severe inflammation of the pancreas gland. Blood tests, ultrasound, mrcp (magnetic resonance xray of the bile duct, ) and/or ERCP (endoscopic exam of the bile and pancreatic ducts) are all avenues used to evaluated cbd stones.
