Sort of: Choledocholithiasis refers to gall stones in the common bile duct. A few cases are due to stones forming directly in the duct. Most cases occur when stones that formed in the gall bladder pass into the bile duct. There are many risk factors for producing gall stones and positive family history is one. Whether a tendency to pass those stones into the common duct can be inherited is less clear.

No: Choledocholithiasis (common bile duct stones) is not a hereditary condition. Gallstones are more common, however, in women.
