LAA: My opinion is to sew the LAA while they do the CABG. Clips are still experimental and remember in both cases - the studies still recommend you take a blood thinner if you develop A Fib since clots can form within LA and not just in the LAA. However, I would recommend LAAectomy during CABG rather than a clip.
