Not the same day.: We instruct all our patients not to engage in any physical therapy, sports or work for the rest of the day after a shoulder arthrogram. The patient can go back to work the next day, and resume prior activities. With an arthrogram, we inject medications which numb the joint for several hours, and patients will not feel any pain if they further injure the shoulder with activity. You never know
