Some thoughts: A swollen painful lump in axilla (armpit) accompanied by pain on same side when lifting your arm is likely caused by an infection or inflammation of the sweat glands associated with hair follicles in axillary hair (hidradenitis suppurativa) or perhaps an irritation from deodorant.
