CTS or fasciitis: Since the pain is worse with wrist movement, the problem is likely at or below wrist level. Carpal tunnel syndrome, in which the median nerve gets pinched at the thumb side of the wrist, can cause it. Plantar fasciitis, which is inflammation of the connective tissue in the palm of the hand, is also possible. If it doesn't improve promptly with rest and OTC pain meds, please get medical care!!

Carpal Tunnel: A pain that starts in the inner palm and radiates down the middle finger, and that gets worse with wrist movement, is likely due to compression of the Median Nerve in your wrist. This is called the Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. The treatment consists of Motrin type medication, wrist splint and certain exercises. If not better>surgery.
