Can observe a while: Certainly generalized muscles aches or myalgias are often a part of a viral syndrome even if it isn't full blown influenza/"the flu." The localized pain in the middle of your back could also go along with that. If you do not have a fever >101, I think you can rest, push fluids and take acetaminophen or ibuprofen as directed for a few days. If more symptoms develop or these worsen, see your doc:)

Well,..: If you do not get better with over the counter flu medications, resting and fluids, etc, then see the Doctor. Good luck.
