No: the iron may be making you constipated as well as upsetting your stomach. identify and separate the meds so you don't make the same mistake again.Then i would skip a couple of doses of your iron and take some Merelax . things should normalize

Over 45 mg/day: Hi Melissa872 The books say over 45 mg can cause symptoms, and of course in very young children the amount you apparently took could cause major problems. I hope that by now you are hydrating, eating a high carb high bulk meal, and perhaps considering using miralax (polyethylene glycol) (over the counter laxative) to increase your retention of bowel content and speed passage through. If symptoms worsen, ER.
