How long does the side effects of cortisone injections last? its been 3 weeks and 2 er trips and i'm on more meds now then before.

Cortisone: is most helpful if the cause of pain is due to tissue inflammation. Headaches due to migraine ( I notice you take Relpax) may not necessarily respond to steroids. The same goes for shoulder pain if there is no tissue inflammation.
