A member asked:

Do i have bppv? dizziness when bending over yesterday. went away after a few hours. now i feel fine. no dizziness. getting over a cold

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No.: Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, or BPPV, causes intermittent episodes of vertigo--usually a violent spinning sensation-- that last several seconds up to a few minutes per episode and occurring only with specific head movements. Since your dizziness lasted for a few hours, it could not have been BPPV. If your dizziness symptoms return or worsen, see your doctor for an exam.
