Too early: The earliest your OB might hear the heartbeat is about 10 weeks. The Doppler sold to the public may not be as sensitive, so it might be later than 10 weeks.

May b okaye: An abdominal Doppler usually will not reliably pickup heart tones until 12 weeks.
