Proteinuria: It depends on how much protein occurs in the urine per 24 hours as well as the type of protein, presence of diabetes, high blood pressure, microscopic findings of the urine,etc. Tiny amounts of proteinuria generally have little significance. Your physician who knows all your findings is best qualified to advise you.

Not necessarily: I would see your doctor to determine how much protein is in your urine. Not all patients with protein in the urine progress to kidney failure. Good luck.
