Could be normal: The dark brown discharge can come from slow bleeding that sits in the vagina and when the blood breaks down it turns a brown color. If you have pelvic pain, fevers, pain with urination or vaginal itching or burning see your doctor. If not then this is probably just due to some hormonal shifts and hopefully your period will return to normal next month. If not see your doctor.
