Degenerative changes: The uncovertebral joints are impt anatomical structures of the cervical spine that lie on both sides of each vertebral body immediately adjacent to the Neural Foramen.Degenerative arthritic changes in these joints can result in bone spurs that can cause severe Nerves to be pinched.Thus he should see a spine specialist who will likely recommend PT as he is probably young enough to avoid surgery.
