Breathless: At 37 weeks, even with descent of the fetal head into the pelvis, the body of the fetus is still occupying a large part of your abdomen, and restricts the full movement of the diaphragm muscle, preventing full respiration (limiting oxygen from getting into your blood stream. This causes shortness of breath and is very normal at this stage of pregnancy.

No room to breath!: Towards the end of pregnancy the baby is taking up a lot of space and squeezing your internal organs against your diaphragm. Your diaphragm can't move as far or as easily as before and this makes you feel breathless. Its usually not serious. However, (If you are swelling or are severely short of breath or have high blood-pressure, you should be seen right away.)
