Needs exam: Do you have a thyroid problem?? The thyroid gland is often larger on one side than the other or a thyroid nodule may be causing the tracheal deviation! An ordinary physical exam can determine the above...if negative a chest x ray is indicated! Hope this helps Dr Z

Deviated trachea.: Is this from birth or a past injury? In any case I would not be too concerned if there are no issues with breathing.

Determine why: Hi. It needs to be determined WHY your trachea is deviated. At what level is it deviated - neck or chest? Has your doc checked your thyroid? If the thyroid is enlarged, that needs evaluation. You may need a chest CT scan to look at the mediastinum. Please don't ignore this. Good luck!

The cause of: the deviated trachea must be determined. An enlarged thyroid or other neck mass can deviate the trachea, so you should probably see your doctor for an evaluation.
