I have a constant burning sensation in my trachea/thyroid area. vomiting helped relieve the pain and allowed me to sleep but i woke up to the burning pain again. should i be worried about this?

The esophagus may be involved rather than the airway. Discuss whether you have GERD or esophagitis with your physician. A PPI medication may be helpful. Avoid spicy foods, have yogurt daily, avoid excessive caffeine and eating less than two hours pre bedtime. Have a COVID-19 screening test and vaccination as indicated. Watch for signs of bleeding, pain and fever.
