Unlikely: What you describe sounds like a simple choking event. Rarely does the food/drink go into the actual windpipe unless you are in a weakened state for some reason. If you're otherwise we'll, it was likely because you weren't paying enough attention while eating. Talking, joking with friends and turning to watch TV all increase the risk of a choking event. This isn't usually related to allergy.

Likely Fine: The sore throat and increased mucus you are experiencing are unrelated to true food allergy. Not likely that food actually went down into lungs. Monitor for continued respiratory complaints over next few days. If you continue to cough or have respiratory complaints see primary doctor for further workup and evaluation.

You are Probably ok: If food did get into your trachea your cough mechanism probably expelled it. If a very tiny bit of food did stay in the trachea or bronchi it would likely cause few symptoms and be removed by the lungs defense mechanisms. A larger piece of food that wasn't coughed up would cause a persistent cough or wheezing that would cause you to seek immediate attention.
