A member asked:

7 month-old daughter's epicanthal folds are asymmetrical (right one is slightly heavier). is this just cosmetic and possibly something she'll outgrow?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Epicanthal folds: are prominent and asymmetrical in many children, sometimes giving the appearance of cross eyes (pseudostrabismus). As children grow and facial structures expand, they generally become less prominent (this also depends on genetics, or heritage).
