4 weeks: The Nuvaring is designed to be left in for 3 weeks, out for one, and a new one inserted. Some evidence shows that some women can take one out after 3 weeks and immediately re-insert another but not everyone can do that. 4 weeks is longer than 1 ring should be left in place. If this is your first Nuvaring your body is adjusting and the break thru should be better with the 2nd and gone with the 3rd.
