Common problem: The most common causes of hair loss in women are thyroid deficiency and estrogen deficiency (as occurs after menopause). In men, the most common cause is genetic, commonly referred to as "male pattern baldness". This genetic pattern also occurs in women. Other potential causes include: medication, illness, infection, stress, and chemicals. Rogaine (minoxidil) may be helpful.

Avoid chemicals: and dyes, and perms to hair. Avoid hair dryers, curling irons and straighteners . See your doctor or a dermatologist and have it checked.
