GoWatchASadMovie: Do you watch a lot of comedies on Netflix? Sometimes, a muscle can get strained after a hard laugh, but that should go away with time (unless you're on a laughing gas binge). It may also be a hernia. They can pop-up in places not familiar to most people. And you may not necessarily feel a lump or bulge,so probably a good idea to get it checked by a doctor because in most cases a hernia won't go away

LAUGHING PAINS: With laughter abdominal muscular contractions occur as well as diaphragmatic movement associated with rapid, short breathing. Scarring within the substance of muscular tissue (as from a prior surgery) or impingement of a sensory nerve in the deeper tissue can be associated with transient sharp pain which is relieved at rest and not evident with normal activity.
