What are the tests for dystonia?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends on factors.: Get a good general physical and neurologic exam. Discuss the nature of your dystonia: age onset, bodily distribution, the progression, triggers, present at rest-any suppressing factors. History and family history will dictate other "tests." blood, spinal fluid, electrical recording techniques, biopsies, eye exam, and thorough neuro and possibly imaging studes may be considered.
