Might help.: Steroids bring down swelling and inflammation so your symptoms may improve sooner. They are especially effective in patients with sinusitis due to nasal polyps because the steroids shrink polyps. It is also helpful to use decongestants and saline sinus rinses to help treat a sinus infection.
