No need to worry.: Rest assured; cancerous growths would be likely to grow or change significantly over 5 years. Observation of the area over time with regular follow up with your oral surgeon is appropriate management.

No worry: An odontoma is a benign tumor and a very common one. Epithelial components may occasionally give rise to a dentigerous cyst and it would be detected by an x-ray. Surgery is the treatment of choice when needed.
