Hospice: Hospice care is end of life care. You can be part of the team that provides it. The goal of the care is to help patients who are dying to have peace comfort and dignity. Hospice programs also provide services to support family and friends. Continue to visit him and hold his hands. Although he can not move, he will be aware of you on some level. Help the family prepare for his death.

Information!: Tough to answer without knowing the type of cancer. Most people as ill as your friend already know something is seriously wrong. He needs to be told what is happening in order to make informed decisions about his remaining time.
