Herpes: Your test results indicate that you were exposed to Herpes virus at some point in your life, not sure when. The low IgM might suggest that it's not recent exposure, but IgM in this virus is not very accurate or useful. Your test did not specify whether your exposure came from type 1 or type 2 or both. If you have an outbreak ask your doctor for treatment medication.

I recently had an out break of some kind. My HSV IgG 1 and 2 both .90 came back negative but my HSV IgM came back positive 1.09. What does this mean?
Does testing positive for Herpes HSV Type 1&2 IgG but negative HSV Type 1&2 IgM and negative for HSV Type 2 IgG mean I am clear? Can I infect someone else?
