OTC meds: Many of the previously prescription acid reducers are now available over the counter at half the prescribed strength. Prilosec or similar products are safe at otc strength in teens.What works well for some will not for others. Find one and try it daily for 2 weeks. Avoid caffeine and laying down after meals.Two-4 wks will fix most simple reflux pain.If it persists you should have her evaluated.
