A member asked:

How long do blood tests for glandular fever take to run?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Day/couple days..: Apparently, glandular fever is a viral infection caused by the epstein-barr virus. Two blood tests are done. One is a test for antibody to epstein-barr virus, the other is a test for white blood cell count. The WBC is part of a complete blood count (CBC) and usually takes one day. The other may be longer, like two to four days, depending on the lab schedule, etc.
