Warm down, rest: Warming down after a workout (light aerobic movement at low intensity) will help keep stiffness at bay. Resting worked muscle groups allows recovery. Best to work different muscle groups on consecutive days. Cross training ( switching from running to cycling, for example) helps avoid injury.
