A member asked:

I workout verry intensely 4 hours a day, i started feeling low energy , is there a condition where the glycogen stores are depleted? recovery time?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Be careful!: It's very hard to deplete glycogen stores (unless you are on a zero carbohydrate suicidal diet) extreme physical stress may, however, cause a release of myoglobin (muscle protein) into the blood, and myoglobin is very toxic to the kidneys; it may cause acute renal failure, and one of it's signs is -- very low energy. Be careful!
