What happens when you get test for strep throat?

Tesing for strep: Two major ways to test for strep throat. 1. Q-tip swab to touch the throat are to test the germ by quick test ...5 minutes or swab is sent to the lab for culture which takes 24 hours. If the test is positive you have strep throat and should be treated with an antibiotic.
