A member asked:

Does eating antibiotic-free meat lower my chances of getting a superbug?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Antibiotic resist.: Due to increased use of antibiotics in general, bacteria have evolved that are now called superbugs which are resistant to many antibiotics. Eating antibiotic free meat is only a small part of the picture. More importantly, avoid taking antibiotics for viral illness like a cold or influenza unless there is a secondary bacterial infection. Good hand washing and oral probiotics are both pros.
