A member asked:

Is it possible to have a ulcer on wharton's duct? slightly bigger then the other ,small white dot. 19 years old. no smoking or drinking. noticed today

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes, canker sores: can occur any place in the mouth, and result from mild irritation to the mucous membranes or as a response to a virus such as a cold. Alternatively, if this looks like a white nodule, it is also possible to get a small salivary stone in the duct. If it does not resolve in several weeks, have your family doctor, oral surgeon or ENT evaluate. Oral tumors are unlikely at your age.
