Unilateral headaches: Evaluation of a one-sided (unilateral) headache should include a thorough neurological evaluation. This evaluation will include a complete History & Physical seeking to tease out associated symptoms that may be associated with more benign (innocent) conditions: muscle spasms, progressing on a severity scale towards vascular cephalgia (dysfunctional & treatable), to more serious CNS conditions.
