Do a pregnancy test: Do a urine pregnancy test. If is posible confirm by blood beta HCG. You need to R/O threatened abortion. If so you need to be under control of your OB/GYN. Meanwhile rest is your only option. If you are not pregnant laceration of the vaginal canal due to rough intercourse is another possibility. Again in this case it is good to be evaluated by ob/gyn. I also recommend a complete STD tests.

Depends: May be just a dysfunctional bleed........but can be natural miscarriage of a non-viable product of conception.
