More explanation plz: The answer is "yes" that brain swelling can certainly occur when a hypotonic solution as you describe is infused. It would appear that you received approximately 2 L of the solution, which is more than sufficient to cause headaches, which is what you may be referring to when you say that your "brain hurts." Headaches occur due to expansion of volume in a closed space.It will get better by itself.
