How can you diagnose suicidal actions?

Actions?: Tend to be easier to diagnose the behavior than the processes leading up to the behavior. A rule of thumb regarding suicidality is ideation (thoughts about suicide), intention (desire to commit an action), plans (a conceived action that is possible), and means (a way of or materials needed to complete a plan). These are considered, in my opinion Actions toward suicide.
