Pelvic kidney & preg: It is relevant to know if the pelvic kidney functions normally, if it gets infected easily, or if its ureter refluxes or has strictures. UTI is more common in any pregnancy. The aforementioned often escalate infection risk. Also, a growing uterus can compress a low or pelvic kidney, which may reduce its function and raise BP. When pregnant, recline on your side w pelvic kidney UP. This helps.
