Hi, i was told i have a cyst on my right ovary, should i be concern that it hurts. doctor said from the ultra sound i was fine. so why does it hurt?

Cyst rupture: Ovarian cysts are quite common and can cause pain as they enlarge or if they rupture. If the pain is severe and unresponsive to pain medications you should be elevated.

OverAndOvaryAgain: Cysts can fill with fluid, stretch, then hurt. Sometimes they'll bleed inside and that hurts.With luck, the cyst will shrink and go away. With less luck it may burst and that will hurt more for a short while.With even less luck it will burst and bleed and hurt enough you'll want to see the doctor again.And if you were born under a bad sign,it will twist on itself and REALLY hurt.So see how it goes
