TheRootOfTheProblem: Sometimes after an adjustment some inflammation sets in that can irritate a nerve root. It should get better within a week or so and if not, you'll have to decide whether to see the chiropractor again or go to a regular doctor. Certainly if it's getting worse! In any case you should inform the chiropractor. Until then, some Motrin and avoiding strenuous activities should help.

Sciatica : For some reason, the treatment may have created a sciatica, which is an irritation of a nerve in the back that can cause pain or tingling running into the leg or foot. There are other potential causes as well. I would not hesitate to be seen.

Could be: you had a disc herniation that was irritated as the chiropractic adjustment took place. Generally it should resolve in a few days, If it is still an issue after 2-3 weeks, I would recommend seeing a spine specialist to see what is going on.
