Sciatica?: This sounds like a nerve irritation in your back or leg that is causing tingling and pain. This nerve irritation can be caused by arthritis or a bulging disc in your back. The MRI is to see what problems, if any, are in your back so that appropriate treatment can begin. I recommend you ask your doctor for clarification as well.
