Eat less,: exercise more. Frankly with an 18 yr old male the effect on muscle mass is important. Without stimulating the muscles weight loss is predominantly on muscle not fat. So, certainly exercise that stimulates the muscles is importnat.. counting calories and seeing where they are (fast food, soda, candy, snacks, alcohol are often sources that can be cut.).
