Probably normal: Swelling in the groin, the testicle, and scrotum after inguinal hernia repair is very common and should get better day by day. Try elevation and ice/heat. If the pain is persistent and/or severe or if the swelling doesn't get better there is a small chance of damage to the spermatic cord. You should see your surgeon and monitor closely.
