Just been put on steroids to control my sarcoidosis. i feel worse today. is this normal. how long before steroids will be in system and start to work.

Few more days: Steroids are commonly used to treat sarcoidosis and can significantly improve your symptoms. It may take several days to reach a therapeutic level so give the medication to reach this level. Steroids can have some side effects including anxiety, gastritis, increased sugar level etc. if you think the symptoms you are having are side effects of the medication speak with you physician to check.

Sep 21, diagnosed with sarcoidosis, 20 yrs lupus SLE, put on oxygen/steroid therapy. Steroids for 30 days 40 mg to now 20 mg. Oxygen level stabilized at 97% w/out using oxygen, HR 70. Nightly, oxygen stays up but HR goes to 98/108, should ox be used?

6 mo ago i had bilirubin+ in urine but all blood work normal. Retested 2 wk and 5 mo later, and all normal. Does this require further workup? Doc seems unconcerned. Btw I have pulmonary sarcoidosis.
Should sarcoidosis patients avoid allergy shots due to the immune system being involved? Will it aggravate this condition and make it flare up?
