Most physicians: would be able to visually distinguish between a wart and a pimple.

Probably not: Most experienced physicians can differentiate warts and pimples. Neither warts not pimples commonly itch. If you are unsure of a doctor's diagnosis, you should seek a second opinion. Dermatologists are great at diagnosing skin lesions, & can do a biopsy of unsure. Good luck!
