Yes strange!: A Baker's cyst is often associated with internal derangement of the knee and a "rupture" releases some joint fluid but this should NOT affect your foot and ankle. You need to see an Orthopedist or Sport's Medicine Specialist for an evaluation of your symptoms sooner rather than later! Good Luck Hope this helps Dr Z
